Paper wall flowers

My daughter’s closet needed something above to jazz up the space. I had seen these paper flowers in a Cricut Design Space that I wanted to try. I was picturing the petals curled back to stick out from the wall so I decided to make them out of thin paper (What do you call letter paper that isn’t as thick as cardstock?). I made the first flower on yellow solid and patterned paper. It needed more layers.

The second flower had a good amount of layers but the paper wasn’t thick enough.

The last flower was made on beautiful grey cardstock and each petal was separate. This was by far the most time consuming but turned out so well.

I put a small circle of felt on the back of each flower and added a 3M strips. The grey flower ended up being too heavy and I hot glued it back onto the 3M strip.
